NEID: First Class Instruction & Opportunity
For high school, club, and academy soccer players interested in raising their game to the next level, and learning what it takes to play soccer at the collegiate level, no summer soccer camp brings quite the same prestige and quality as the Northeast Elite ID Camp (NEID). Held at the elite soccer facilities at Colgate University in Hamilton, New York, the camp also provides top-level instruction by a team of 20 college coaches, ensuring that you’ll learn everything you need to know about becoming an NCAA student-athlete, while being evaluated by the coaches in attendance.
One of the primary benefits at the NEID camp is the individual instruction that players get from the coaches. Relatively small in size (just 200 players), the camp offers a tremendous 10:1 ratio between players and instructors. During training sessions, small-sided games, and full squad matches, the coaches will be teaching the players exactly as they would if they were their own team. Not only does this help the youngsters develop and grow as players, but it will also open a window into what college soccer is all about.
Another benefit at the NEID camp is the window through which college coaches can view prospective recruits for their team. Every year, several players are gifted the opportunity of a lifetime to play for either Colgate University or one of the other prestigious soccer programs that are represented at the camp. For rising high school juniors, this potential can be extremely important for future decisions, and the camp will actually provide a written evaluation for them to assess their playing level. Helping to learn where you need to focus your training on will be extremely valuable for future training and recruitment as your high school, academy, or club career progresses. But what must be understood is the wonderful experience that the NEID camp will provide the soccer players in attendance. Colgate boasts one of the finest settings for soccer and has several state-of-the-art fields. Meanwhile, players will be invited to stay in the college dormitories and get a taste of college life. Colgate has one of the nation’s top soccer programs, usually competes for the Patriot League title, and has recently participated in the NCAA tournament. This camp will be your opportunity to experience this program and the incredible coaching that college soccer players receive.
At the forefront of the camp staff is Colgate Men’s Soccer head coach Erik Ronning, who states, “The Northeast Elite ID Camp at Colgate University provides one of the best camp experiences in the country. Players participating at NEID will be coached by the very best camp staff in the country. At the end of camp, you will know what it takes to compete at the collegiate level, while being evaluated by the 20 collegiate programs in attendance. Attending NEID will be a positive life changing experience for all in attendance.”
Clearly, this is a camp led by people who know a thing or two about winning in soccer and developing great players. You can now be a part of this incredible camp and get seen by 20 college soccer coaches this summer. Who knows what heights this single camp can take your soccer career to.
